Can you get your content written by bots?

Can you use AI to write blog posts?
(AI: Artificial intelligence)

After a fascinating talk with Meadhbh Hand yesterday, I went full-geek and experimented with “Simplified” – an artificial intelligence app for creating text and visual content.

I’d been mulling over a blog post for months about how perfectionism stunts progress for solopreneurs. But I kept getting stuck in the weeds of too many ideas, so it was a perfect opportunity to get a little help from a robot! I wanted to see if I could auto-generate a decent blog post by just adding my title:

*The Solopreneur Trap – Chasing Perfection instead of Progress*
=======
Below, is a part of the post written by a robot.
=======

“You know the type. They’re always busy, always hustling, always grinding away at some new project. They’re the solopreneurs, and they’re always chasing perfectionism instead of progress.

The solopreneur trap is a vicious cycle of always starting new projects and never finishing them. It’s the result of thinking that you have to do everything yourself and that everything has to be perfect.

The problem with this way of thinking is that it’s impossible to achieve perfection. And even if you could, it would be at the expense of progress. Chasing perfectionism is a recipe for burnout and frustration.

So next time you’re tempted to go down the rabbit hole of perfectionism, remember: progress is more important than perfection. Just get started and finish what you started. The rest will follow.”

What do think?

It’s a bit stiff and clichée, but there are some decent points in there that I had intended to include. Also, as I was stuck on my topic, I found it useful to have something to react to and have a base to work from for my post.

I don’t think the bots are due to take over from real writers any time soon à la “1984”… but I think I’ll use this as a tool to get past that scary blank page.
