London-based Life and Career Coach Website

Your Best Life

Brand and Website for UK-based Life & Career Coaching Company

About this project

The brief

Create brand and website for a life and career coaching business based in London. The ideal client for the Your Best Life brand is specifically London-based professionals.

Background

This was a really exciting project to work on. The founder of the company has a really clear vision for the business and needed the brand to communicate it to a new audience.

What we focussed on:

We really wanted to create an elegant site that resonated with its target audience and inspired them to take action. The style of imagery was important as we didn’t want to create a “cookie-cutter” website. We chose to use a mood-board style for the images to represent a combination of simple pleasures that can be part of a good life.

When the initial brand strategy decisions were made be focussed on implementing the lead generation strategy with two key calls to action.

What we did:

  • Market research: We made a list of common search teams and the specific vocabulary of the ideal client.
  • Copy: With the team at Your Best Life  we began crafting the messaging and website copy. We gathered design references and kept the ideal clients front of mind in every word used on the site.
  • Branding: We co-created a brand kit that consists of a logo, colour scheme, fonts and instagram template (which you can see here: www.instagram.com/yourbestlifeuk)
  • Website layout: We worked on the website wireframe, integrating a primary and secondary call to action:
    • Book an exploration session (direct lead generation)
    • Take an online quiz (list builder)
  • Mailing list freebie: This quiz (using try interact) feds the YBL mailing list and triggers an automated follow up sequence relevant to the subscribers chosen responses.
  • Responsiveness: The site was tested for mobile compatibility and templates were set up for the blog so that the team at YBL can focus on creating content that connects rather than implementing layouts.

Self-promotion doesn’t have to feel sleazy!

Why do we act like it's some kind of shady business to promote our services? We've got all these ideas for offers and content but we're worried we'll come off as a pushy salesperson. If we talk specifically about our services or client results — we're afraid of the...

The Content Gap is losing you leads!

Let me tell you a little story... Recently, I was searching around for a specific online service. I saw an ad offering just what I was looking for and booked in for a call. The sales call was great. The offer was exactly what I needed. But before I could part with my...

You need a Border Collie in your business

Do people still care about websites?

#'Cos we are living in a material digital world and I am a digital girl. (*Humms, Madonna's Material Girl) I've been making websites since about 2009. Things have changed SO MUCH in that time. But do people still care about websites? I'd say… no! Here's why... We're...

Are your social media posts a waste of time?

It's easy to fall into the trap of spending countless hours on social media, trying to get noticed and gain followers. But is it really worth it? Social media is designed to be addictive. We scroll and post and comment, all in the hopes of gaining more visibility and...

What you sell, changes how you sell (and vice-versa)

Have you heard the story of Joshua Bell, the world-renowned violinist who performed in disguise in a Washington D.C. subway station in 2007? Despite his immense talent and $3 million Stradivarius violin, Bell went unnoticed by the majority of commuters rushing by. He...

How do you talk to people about what you do?

If you've started to show up online as a way to promote your services you'll probably know that you need a smart way to talk about what you do, who you serve and even what you stand for. And OH BOY, is this hard to create. So many people I meet find it hard to...
