Architect website stands out from competitors
Re-brand and website re-build for a client-centric architect in Ireland

About this project
The brief
To re-brand and rebuild the website so that it stands out from its competitors.
Background
Tara, the founder of the company was aware that their website was outdated. It didn’t display properly on mobile devices and it was difficult for her and her team to add new projects to the portfolio. There was an overall feeling that the site was a bit generic, while it did display their work, it didn’t stand out when compared to its competitors.
What we focussed on:
We began by considering the ideal client and the kind of work that Tara Cooke Architects wanted to focus on. We looked at the wider industry and direct competitors. It quickly became obvious, that architecture can often seem like a mans world! A lot of competitor websites were focussed on their innovative design and the display was often pretty macho’ and cold! Tara is acutely aware that individual clients often felt intimidated by this.
Tara and her team really value the customer relationships that they develop over the course of their projects. Their unique selling point is that they create spaces to suit the lifestyles of their clients.
With this in mind we created a site that communicated their client-centric approach. We wanted site visitors to see that Tara and her team prioritise how their clients want to live in the space and making their vision a reality.

What we did:
- Copy: With reworked the core messaging for the site using the concept of the home being a really vital part of any family… “More than bricks and mortar”
- Branding: We created mood boards and gathered design references, many of which were more based on lifestyle than architecture.
- Website layout: We worked on the website wireframe, to have to most intuitive navigation and engaging experience for the site visitor.
- Site wide calls to action: The site invites its visitors to get in touch to start a conversation about their project or book a service directly online.
- Responsiveness: The site was set up and tested for mobile compatibility and templates were set up for the portfolio so that the team can easily add new projects.
